While some artists are slowly carving out their own lane in the UK music scene, Denzel Himself is drilling holes around his and building a fortress. A truly unique force in the game, his unapologetic lyrical and visual style is as eye catching as it is potent, so much so that we named him one of our most exciting artists to watch in 2018 late last year.
Today, he drops his new EP, Baphomet James, which follows last year's Thrasher project. A five-tracker, it contains just one feature – from Londoner KEYAH/BLU – and marks a departure from the raucous, punky tracks for which he has recently gained a reputation. In exchange are mellow beats and solid introspection, along with lyrical sharpness from Denzel.
