Dean Blunt officially announces new album 'Black Metal' for Rough Trade

The long-hinted at new solo record from Dean Blunt is due on November 4th.

Dean Blunt has been bigging up 'Black Metal' for a while now. He first announced it, and his signing to Rough Trade, back in March, dropping a new song with it called Mersh. He later appeared on Scratcha DVA's show to talk about it, and announced "a reading" of the album at Bristol literary festival Off The Page.

The full details are out now. Released by Rough Trade on November 4th, 'Black Metal' contains a few familiar Blunt song titles, like Mersh, 50 Cent, and X. Despite these shared titles, however, we're told that they are not all the same songs.

It'll come on a heavy pressing 2xLP. Oh, and the press release describes Blunt as being based between London and Atlanta.

That's… sort of it, as details go, but come November, you'll be able to make up your own mind about the album.
