David Borden, 0PN, Laurel Halo, James Ferraro & Samuel Godin's synth supergroup to play live

We like synth music, and very much imagine you do too, so the news that David Borden, Daniel Lopatin (Oneohtrix Point Never), Laurel Halo, James Ferraro and Samuel Godin will be performing live together has us pining to be in Pittsburgh this October.

Following the release of their FRKYWYS collaboration on RVNG Intl. back in July, minimal composer David Borden and the four synth musicians will regroup to make their live debut at Pittsburgh’s second ever VIA Festival.

Borden will also give a short but wonderfully titled lecture about Bog Moog, creator of the famous synthesiser, called ‘The Moog Synthesizer Lecture: The Man I Knew and the Machine I Learned’.

To get an idea of just how thrilling it’ll be to experience the force of all that towering vibration in one room, have a listen to Just A Little Pollution from ‘FRKYWYS Volume 7’ below.

RVNG Intl. will also be throwing a VIA after-party on 7th October with live turns from Pink Skull and Blondes, and DJ-ing from Beats In Space’s Tim Sweeney.

Borden et al will perform at Carnegie Mellon University at 6pm on 6th October, 2011 as part of Pittsburgh’s VIA Festival
