Dauwd - Ikopol [MP3]
Building on the acclaim of his Could It Be / Shimmer debut back in May, Pictures Music are about to release a second Dauwd EP.
A little like Koreless and Seams before him, both adroitly backed to the hilt by Pictures, the Welsh-born producer is pushing the complex, 2-steppy, melodic end of the bass music spectrum.
Armed with a killer set of vocal samples and an extensive library of beautiful synths, the three-track ‘What’s There’ EP will see a limited run of 300 vinyl copies find their way onto the online high street in early November.
Ikopol is already available for free via the fantastic ‘Unclassified’ compilation offered up in September by Adult Swim.
Catch Dauwd alongside Rudi Zygadlo and patten at The Macbeth in Hoxton tonight, from 8pm.
