Premiere: Dalglish - Ciaradh
Chris "Dalglish" Douglas is releasing new album 'Niaiw Ot Vile' via PAN next month, and we're streaming album track Ciaradh today.
For a bit of background, Dalglish is a San Francisco native who threw techno and ambient parties around the city as a teenager. Nowadays he's based in Berlin (of course), but during the '90s he found himself in Detroit for a spell, where he ended up collaborating with Underground Resistance's Mike Bank and the late James Stinson of Drexciya. Later, he toured with Autechre – so if you judge a man by the company he keeps, then Dalglish has kept very good company.
Ambient album track Ciaradh is very noisy and at times it's very shrill, but not in the sort of abrasive, obtuse, or loud way that the word "noisy" might imply – rather it's very listenable, almost lovely.
For more PAN-related news, the label recently teased a new album from Heatsick with an amazing new track, RE-ENGINEERING.
PAN will release 'Niaiw Ot Vile' on November 8th, 2013.
