Daft Punk have shared 15 seconds of a new song

The internet has been abuzz with rumours about Daft Punk’s forthcoming new album in recent months. The list of collaborators on the record has slowly eked out, including legends such as Nile Rodgers and Giorgio Moroder – as well as less likely figures such as Panda Bear. During the ad break on the most recent episode of Saturday Night Live, the French duo teased some new material with a fifteen second advert, proving that 2013 is the year of the comeback. The disco-fied track has a typically Chic-ish guitar scratch and live drums, as opposed to the classic drum machines plus instantly-recognisable compression that their past output has relied on. Of course it’s short, but it’s Daft Punk – colour us excited.
