CYMBALS – Erosion

The Dalston band are back with a rumbling synth-pop tune.

Dalston crooners CYMBALS are back with a new single that goes by the name of Erosion. The title may make it sound like it's crumbling apart – not to mention the fact that it comes from an upcoming album called 'The Age of Fracture' – but the result is among their tightest, cleanest work, wrapping a restrained melody around an intensifying bassline and purposeful new wave echoes. You might even call this incredibly cohesive, more like peeping throuch a fracture into a fondly remembered past than something that's fractured in itself. Not that we're complaining; it's a smouldering synth-pop jam with nothing to dislike.

Tough Love Records will release 'The Age Of Fracture' on the 4th February 2013.
