CREEP - Introduction (feat. Planningtorock)

CREEP have announced their debut album, and the first track from it features the great Planningtorock.

It’s been a while coming now, but CREEP are finally ready to release their debut album. Titled ‘echoes’, the album features previous singles Days, You, _Animals, and Call Her, alongside six new ones, and each track will feature a guest contributor. Introduction is, unsurprisingly, the first track on the album, an eerie, cinematic piece, with guest vocalist Planningtorock – who herself is fairly fresh off of releasing one of the best singles of the year so far – bellowing over the top of dramatic strings, the voice shrouded in the mix. Given that CREEP were fairly unfortunately lumped in with the both loved and derided witch house/“rape gaze”:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Witch_house_(music_genre)#cite_note-21 (ugh) movement a couple of years ago, it’s good to know this album is coming out post-hype and can be appreciated objectively.

The single is streaming at SPIN.

‘echoes’ will be released on August 13th.
