Covid vaccine conspiracy theorists mistake guitar pedal for "5G chip"

An image of the alleged ‘5G chip’ that some conspiracy theorists claim is being planted in coronavirus vaccinations is actually a diagram of the electric circuit of the Boss Metal Zone guitar pedal.

The detailed diagram of the alleged ‘chip’ has been doing the rounds on social media after originating in Italy, and contains the words ‘bass’, ‘treble’ and ‘footswitch’.

According to a report by MusicTech, Redhat senior software engineer Mario Fusco debunked the conspiracy theory on December 28, writing: “Here in Italy, people started to share this figure claiming that this is the diagram of the 5G chip that has been inserted in the COVID vaccine.

“In reality, it is the electric circuit of a guitar pedal,” he continued, adding jokingly: “I believe that putting it in the Covid vaccine has been an excellent idea.”
