R.I.P. Conrad Schnitzler

Prolific experimental musician has sadly passed away.

European electronic music pioneer Conrad Schnitzler passed away on the 4th August 2011 from stomach cancer.

The German experimental musician was known for being a member of the bands Tangerine Dream and Kluster, as well as his numerous solo works.

The musician set up the Global Living Project before he died, sending his own DNA samples (his hair) to various beautiful locations around the world so that he might be buried there. In his words, “I am in the whole world at home now.”

Sites at which Schnitzler is buried include Mount Fuji, the Green Lagoon in Lanzarote and Fairy Glen in Sefton Park, Liverpool.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this time.
