Brian Wilson to release an album of Disney covers

Beach Boys founder member and archetypically “troubled” pop genius Brian Wilson has recorded an album of Disney covers, including Can You Feel the Love Tonight? from The Lion King, Bare Necessities from The Jungle Book and When You Wish Upon a Star from Pinocchio.

While it might seem like a odd hook-up, it’ll actually be the second album he’s released with Walt Disney Records following last year’s ‘Brian Wilson Reimagines Gershwin’.

In more weird but wonderful collaboration news, Lou Reed and Metallica have finally announced an October 31st release date for their album, ‘Lulu’. And let’s not forget that James Blake and Bon Iver’s potential studio cosiness should be arriving on Wednesday.
