Bombay Bicycle Club - How Can You Swallow So Much Sleep (Voyeur remix)

It always takes a bit more and something special to stand out, especially at a time when new, exciting producers are constantly emerging and popping up on your ones-to-watch list. Newcomers of the scene Voyeur, are Benson Herbert and Leo Picking. Hailing from Leeds, the duo have remixed Bombay Bicycle Club’s How Can You Swallow So Much Sleep, a track that’s drawn Scuba and Tom Vek to provide re-interpretation. Markedly departing from the original pop version, it begins with forlorn sampled vocals, slowly and steadily builds into a groove with floating piano chords and sparse, static percussion. It’s a beautiful and delicate ride with a sense of engaging stillness that’s placed just right.
