Boiler Room and Ballantine's announce True Music Africa

Boiler Room and Ballantine’s whisky have announced the launch of True Music Africa, a four-city tour that will take in exciting underground music scenes from countries ranging from South Africa to Kenya. The tour begins in Cape Town on November 23 with a line-up featuring the most pivotal hip hop artists involved in each local music scene. Festivities then continue in Cameroon and Kenya before heading back to Johannesburg for the final showcase.

From gqom to Nairobi nu wave and eclectic afro-fusion, True Music Africa will tell the stories of the varied music scenes sweeping the continent and the key innovators in each space who are flying the flag – all via compelling documentaries and live-streamed parties to bring Africa’s music scene to a global stage.
