Bloc Party have announced comeback live dates

Famous band will herald their return to music this summer with two festival appearances.

Bloc Party have announced that they will perform together live this summer for the first time in three years.

The confirmed dates include sets at the Peace & Love Festival in Sweden on 29th June , and Melt! Festival from 13th – 15th July.

Guitarist Russell Lissack wrote in a mail out to fans, “We’re really excited to announce our first festival appearances for this summer, at which we’ll be debuting material from our forthcoming new album.”

Last month frontman Kele Okereke confirmed that the four-piece are currently working on their fourth studio album in New York, despite an unintentional hoax last year that lead the world, via the NME, to believe that Kele would not be returning to the group.

The new LP is expected to be released later this year.
