Bjork's 'Biophilia' is getting close

Matthew Herbert and Omar Souleyman have both remixed tracks from the star's latest album, 'Biophilia', which just keeps getting more intricate and more fascinating.

There’s been no shortage of news about your favourite Icelandic superstar lately, in the build-up to the release of ‘Biophilia’ this September. Now, with several high-profile remixes under her belt, Bjork is planning to whet appetites with the release of a four-part series of singles known as The Crystalline Series.

Consisting at its core of four original Biophilia songs, the series will showcase remixes by Matthew Herbert , Omar Souleyman and Serban Ghenea . The first instalment, featuring Ghenea’s remixes of Crystalline and Cosmogony, is out now.

The second single in the series will be available on CD, vinyl and digital on 26th July, boasting reworks of Crystalline, Tesla and Mawal by Souleyman; the following two instalments will both be Matthew Herbert-centric, revolving around his mixes of Cosmogony and Crystalline, as well as remix instrumentals for both. Herbert’s contribution will be out on 2nd August.
