Music writing is a good thing. It’s how the staff of this magazine eat, it’s why you clicked on this link, and it’s where we go to think about music. For over a decade, an American anthology, Best Music Writing, has collected together the greatest examples of music criticism from across the spectrum, and published it. However, because, in the sunny words of the below clip, the book industry is “changing”, the series was dropped by its publisher.
The editor hasn’t taken it lying down, though, and is launching a KickStarter campaign to launch Best Music Writing as an independent publishing house. Click their Kickstarter to back the project.
