Beach House's Victoria Legrand sings on new Air album

Victoria Legrand of Baltimore pop band Beach House features on Seven Stars, a track on Air’s new album, ‘La Voyage Dans La Lune’. Her breathy, dreamy vocals will be familiar to Beach House’s fans, although the album, soundtrack to a restored 1902 silent French film, is somewhat of a departure from Air’s trademark electronics. Taking their lead from the George Melies film, Air’s Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoît Dunckel have gone for a more organic sound, playing their instruments live for an album that feels ‘handmade and a bit knocked together’.
