Bayou – Airlock

Playful new sounds from the bedroom pop musician's new mixtape.

It's been a short while since we heard from bedroom pop musician Bayou, but word comes that he's planning to release a new mixtape through very good indie label Double Denim (the label that Bayou – real name Hari Ashurst – co-founded back in 2010).

The first song from it, Airlock, is probably the most playful thing that Bayou's done so far, seeing him play with new sounds, wobbles, sped-up raps, and vocal processing, and just having fun with it. It seems a logical progression from last year's one-off tune everybodysgottalearn, which was loaded with vocal FX (at the time, we actually went as far as calling Bohemian Rhapsody-like).

Double Denim release 'Loopback' on May 12th.
