Banks - Before I Ever Met You

Good Years have announced the first single from Banks, the LA singer-songwriter whose frenetic collaboration with Lil Silva, Work, caught the attention of Radio 1’s specialist music jocks earlier this year. ‘Before I Met You,’ which is released on Seb Chew’s label on February 25th, appeared on Banks’ Facebook page yesterday.

It’s certainly a departure from the Croydon wig-out of Work, swapping the neon for a lament to failed love, and showcasing a vocal that’s reminiscent of Katy B’s quiet tension, tinged with the electro-soul of Jessie Ware.
