Autre Ne Veut - Play by Play (Jacques Greene Remix)

Put the words "Jacques" and "Greene" in anything and I am likely to click it, having fallen for the Montreal producer's dark-hearted but super sensual club music in 2011 (cue gushing interview here). But combine it with an "Autre", a "Ne" and a "Veut" and I am slain. Yes, that's right – the clue might've been in the title – Jacques Greene has remixed Brooklyn-based anguished soul artist Autre Ne Veut's Play By Play. And it's great. Like, really great. Greene has the nous to let Ne Veut's vocal be, instead letting the drama build and unfurl via a velvet carpet of gossamer percussion and warm, leisurely drums.
