Hear a new compilation from brilliant Glasgow label Astral Black
Glasgow club/grime/rap label Astral Black are two years old, and what better way to celebrate than with new music?
'Frass FM 2' is a new compilation from the crew – it follows last year's 'Frass FM', unsurprisingly – and features 14 new, exclusive tracks from a bunch of people on the label. You've got Soulection's JD. Reid, label regular DJ Milktray (turning in a brittle club tool called Martini Glass), some abstract Roger Troutman-influenced beatwork from Earl Sweatshirt and Samiyam collaborator Budgie, and a rework of Migos's My Momma by newcomer Drae Da Skimask.
Unless you've been living under a rock, you'll have heard that Dummy is throwing a party with Astral Black in South London on June 5th. It'll be killer.
If you're not in London but are in Glasgow, you can catch them at their second birthday party in Glasgow tomorrow (May 22nd) with Sam Gellaitry and Sivey of Soulection, taking place at The Art School.
Astral Black release 'Frass FM 2' on May 21st 2015 (download).
