Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder to perform at Whitney Houston's funeral

The ceremony for the tragic star will be held this Saturday in New Jersey.

Whitney Houston’s funeral – due to take place on Saturday at the New Jersey church that she and her family sang in when she was growing up – will include musical tributes from soul legends Aretha Franklin, Houston’s godmother, and Stevie Wonder. Houston’s long time mentor Clive Davis will speak, despite recently being criticised by Chaka Khan for his decision to go ahead with a pre-Grammys party following Houston’s death. It’s also rumoured that her Bodyguard co-star Kevin Costner may say a few words.

Whitney Houston died on Saturday 11th February. She was found in the bathtub of her hotel room ahead of a planned performance at Davis’s pre-Grammys party. The results of an autopsy, and toxicology report, are yet to be released.
