As is increasingly becoming the norm, my introduction to Alauda was little more than a link to a Soundcloud page and nothing else. When the music's good, anonymously made music is like finding a message in a bottle, and thankfully, Falling Star belongs to this camp. It's incredible, driven by a deep, tribal-rhythmic pulse, twanging guitars and Alauda's butter-melting voice. Or should we say "Alauda's singer's butter-melting voice" – is Alauda one person? A band? A producer with a guest vocalist? As usual, Falling Star raises more questions than answers, but our interest is piqued.
