Aïsha Devi - The Sore Party (Cooly G "Cooldub" remix)

As premiered on FACT, Cooly G has delivered a really, really weird new remix for Aïsha Devi. Aïsha Devi, for those wanting to know, is an alias of Kate Wax, who has released records on Border Community, the long-deceased Output Recordings and somewhat underlooked Mental Groove. Cooly’s remix of The Sore Party takes minimalism to its extreme – floating vocal samples, odd sound effects and bass-weighted kick drums that seem to flit from speaker to speaker are pretty much the only components of it, but it’s enticing and hypnotising in its simplicity.
