Actress is launching his new album at Plastic People in April

London don to celebrate third full-length release at London clubbing institution.

The arrival of one of 2012’s most anticipated records will be celebrated at Plastic People in April when Huntleys and Palmers throw a party for ‘R.I.P.’, the third full-length from Actress.

Released through Honest Jon’s on 20th April, ‘R.I.P.’ will be Darren Cunningham’s first release since 2010’s modern classic ‘Splazsh’, voted the best album of that year by The Wire and one of Dummy’s favourites too. Early reports of the album, fuelled by a brilliant press release back in February, suggested ‘R.I.P.’ would comprise fifteen tracks “with a conceptual arc taking in death, life, sleep and religion”.

The Huntleys and Palmers night will also feature Hamburg house DJ Helena Hauff, who runs the Birds And Other Instruments night at the city’s Golden Pudel Club.

Last Saturday Actress played an unlikely set in the rarefied environs of Tate Modern, providing an aural backdrop to the art of Japanese polka-dot obsessive Yayoi Kusama, currently the subject of a retrospective at the London gallery.

Actress launches ‘R.I.P. at Plastic People on 27th April 2012.
