The new EP from gospel pop artist Active Child, or Pat Grossi to his proverbial, is his most epic-sounding outing to date, from the Michael Jackson-influenced feature from Mikky Ekko on the fist-pumping Subtle (which is, in the best and most camp way, anything but) to the low-slung, Kavinsky-esque synth crawl of Calling In The Name of Love. With big name features and high-reaching, hard-hitting sound (and lashings of the familiar harp sounds on the stunning stand-out Evening Ceremony), the EP sees Grossi return from two years of touring his debut album You Are All I See with a clear new appreciation for the way a track can build and soar in a live setting, and a love of the anthemic.
