A$AP Rocky - Goldie

Harlem rapper of the moment hits us with two new ones as his debut album takes shape.

A$AP Rocky played Goldie, the first full single from his upcoming debut album ‘LongLiveA$AP’, yesterday on New York radio and its a smash. The track, brilliantly produced by Hit-Boy, is an understated mix of rough drums and a xylophone melody that gives Rocky a great little beat to toast over.

On a slightly different tip, A$AP Rocky’s song with fellow New Yorker Theophilius London also popped up over the weekend and it sees the rapper in a more upbeat mood. Set over a sample of the Shirley Bassey karaoke favourite, the brassy Big Spender sees the young pair blowing money fast and thugging internationally. It is unclear whether Big Spender will also feature on ‘LongLiveA$AP’ but, alongside Goldie and the blink-and-you’ll-miss-it Lana del Rey collaboration Ridin’, things are definitely heating up for what will be a big summer.
