Dummy is pulling up to the Ace hotel on Thursday November 7th for the first of a new NEXT HYPE residency, and we’re bringing some of our favourite artists of the minute with us.
Named after our Spotify playlist that painstakingly hand selects the best new music, we’re taking over the Shoreditch hotel’s basement club, Miranda, for a night of bleeding-edge sounds.
Injecting punk spirit into rap, London collective 404 are ready to tear the roof off. Following the tragic loss of member Silvertongue earlier this year, the Dirty Hit-signed foursome recently released water-tight EP ‘Guild Two Forever’, building on thrilling cuts like ‘Fearful‘ and ‘Gauntlet’ that have marked them out as one of the UK’s most exciting rap prospects.
Vibrating with hype off the back of ‘Night Time‘, Master Peace is an artist firmly on the ascent. The new face of a rockstar in 2019, he’s drawn praise for bridging styles as varied as surf-rock and ’80s punk into a sound that feels as nostalgic as it does future-facing.
AQUA, Missy Elliot and Iranian acts like Googoosh are all artists Azadi.mp3 cites as influences. The London-based producer and singer is about to drop her debut EP ‘Summer in the Crypt’ (it comes out tomorrow), promising a blend of sensuous R&B and gothic melodrama.
Following an appearance with Rada at our Laylow show last month, Dummy favourite Kish! is taking to the stage solo. The 237 collective member recently treated us to ‘Sly Cooper‘ – the first single from upcoming project ‘The Fantastic Preservation Society’. Rumour has it even Wiley’s a fan.
