Your Loss marry grime, punk and emo on second album '(II)'

The seven-tracked record is out now via our DMY Artists

Following the release of their self-titled debut project, West London rap duo Your Loss return with second album ‘(II)’, a seven-tracked record further laying out their genre-swerving style.

We’ve been working with the duo – made up of vocalist privacydied and producer ramon – via our DMY Artists.

Featuring previously released singles ‘Hov & Puffy’ (featuring Kish!), ‘Fuck Around And Die‘ and ‘Chaos!‘, the LP also offers up new cuts including a nod to Skins protagonist ‘Effy Stonem’, ‘Vantablack’ and ‘Dog Person’, drawing on the sounds of grime, punk, emo and more.

As they described their own sound to us in our list of 30 DMY Artists To Watch in 2021, it’s “a blend of abrasive chopped samples, crunchy, hard-hitting drums and moody textures. It’s basically if Alice Glass was a dude and could do grime flows.”

The pair threw a listening party last night via Gramrphone, giving listeners an exclusive first play of the album.

Stream the project in full below, or check it out on other platforms here.
