Tom Did It's 'Thinking Too Much' is a poignant reflection on lockdown blues

The 17-year-old purges his inner thoughts after feeling a disconnect from the people around him

Characterised by infectious melodic hooks and bold trap-fused production, 17-year-old Tom Did It’s music has already garnered support from both sides of the Atlantic.

Having previously made a statement of intent with his industrial-looking video for ‘Outside’, the Harpenden artist is returning to form with his latest offering ‘Thinking Too Much’, released via DMY Artists.

The new single was penned in March during the start of lockdown, where Tom felt a disconnect to the people around him. With music being the only way to purge his mind of his inner-thoughts, the song’s lyrics are genuine and introspective.

During this period, the teenager found out that his nan had unfortunately been diagnosed with cancer, making Tom turn in on himself even more.

Evoking a pensive sadness, ‘Thinking Too Much’ sees the vocalist reflect on trying times with his characteristic trap-laden sonics, while a series of poignant vocals sets the song apart from his previous work.
