Swindle announces fourth album, drops new single feat. Poppy Ajudha & Daley
After his 2019 album ‘No More Normal’, Swindle has returned with a new single, ‘DARKEST HOUR’ with features from Poppy Ajudha & Daley.
The South London native grew up on the sounds of pirate radio and a backdrop of electronic, jungle, drum and bass, garage, jazz, funk and soul. Building on his signature fusion of jazz with genres like grime and dubstep, he swoops back onto our radar with this feel-good track.
Recorded at The Real World Studios, Swindle says; “So pleased to get two power voices in Daley and Poppy Ajudha on one record. The song really speaks to the sentiment of our time in the studio, lifting each other up during a dark time. We recorded this song on the last night of the week long session and basically had a party recording it.”
The single is taken from his forthcoming album which Swindle says was a healing process written in the aftermath of the murder of George Floyd and the rise of the Black Lives Matter movement. This highly anticipated project will be his fourth album and will feature Ghetts, Kojey Radical, Joy Crooks, Greentea Peng, Loyle Carner, Joel Culpepper, Akala, Knucks Maverick Sabre and JNR WILLIAMS.
The album is out on 29th October. Pre-order it on digital and limited edition colour vinyl here.
