slowthai and Kenny Beats link up on 'MAGIC'

slowthai and Kenny Beats have teamed up on ‘MAGIC’, a new track that was teased on a Twitch stream last month. It’s the first joint offering from the Northampton MC and US producer – who has become one of the most in-demand names in hip-hop – after they both spent some time together in the studio in LA at the start of 2020.

‘MAGIC’ follows ‘ENEMY’, a track referencing slowthai’s appearance at the NME Awards in February, where he was removed after an altercation with an audience member. On the track, slowthai samples Matty Healy from The 1975 at the event, saying: “Everyone send your thoughts to slowthai. Fuck knows where he is but god bless the boy… fucking nightmare.”
