Skepta has just unveiled the first track from his forthcoming fifth album, ‘Ignorance Is Bliss’.

Going back to his roots with the sound, the grime pioneer offers up creeping, classic production courtesy of himself and frequent collaborator Ragz Originale.

Dropping some quotable lines like “I don’t bend, I don’t fold” and “I went silver, I went gold, then I went platinum, so what’s next?”, it’s the first of two tracks that Skeppy is releasing today.

Of the album, Skepta says: “The internet is making everything and everyone politically correct but that takes away the artistry. ‘Ignorance Is Bliss’ deals with the yin yang of Life. True Skepta, saying it exactly how it is.”

The album arrives 31st May 2019 via Boy Better Know.

‘Bullet From A Gun’ is out now via Boy Better Know.
