Saint Etienne – Tonight

Below is the first taste of new music from Saint Etienne, a band that studiously created some of the greatest pop songs of the 90s. In a way that foreshadowed much of today’s music, Saint Etienne make music about music, and Tonight is no different, about, as band member Bob Stanley says, “the anticipation of going to see your favourite group. For some reason, I imagine this show is at the Forum in Kentish Town. The whole album is about the power of pop, how it affects and shapes your life.” Produced by Xenomania and Richard X, it’s a great trailer for their comeback album, due on Universal this year.
