Ruff Sqwad - Cold

With swells of nostalgia still running high after the release of the retrospective compilation ‘White Label Classics’ late last year, the iconic E3 grime crew Ruff Sqwad look to be bowing out with their latest single Cold. Sure, Tinchy’s become the star he threatened to be, Rapid sings with Auto-Tune all the time now and everyone has had their ups and downs, but it’s still the same core group over a heart-searing synth-heavy beat (albeit one made by outside producer Merlin that shows traces of the local shift to the “trap” sound) and, if this really is the end, you should appreciate that.
