Premiere: Watch Jelani Blackman’s twisted ‘Lockjaw’ video

The British rap breakout star comes out with a new, neon-lit visual

Jelani Blackman is on a roll right now. Having just dropped the electrifying NewAgeMusik-featuring ‘Go Low’, the vocalist doing everything from R&B to soul to rap returns with a new visual from his forthcoming ‘Lockjaw’ EP.

The track finds Blackman (who has worked with Brian Eno in the past) darker than we’ve previously seen, ushering his growling tones over deep bass strokes.

The Joao Retorta-directed video is a dizzying watch – with a camera swinging through a hallway, complementing the track’s searing flavour complete with Jelani’s own rasping flow.
