Premiere: Tropa Macaca – Ectoplasma [album stream]

Tropa Macaca are a duo from Portugal who write these really far out head-pop symphonies. Oneohtrix Point Never’s label, Software, are set to release their new two-track EP, ‘Ectoplasma’. It’s perfectly titled – it’s a record soaked in thick gloop, a stirring, thick sound that’s neither entirely pleasant nor easy to turn away from, it oozes into the brain like some primordial sludge, half HP Lovecraft, half modal synth. It’s released next week, and we hope you love it as much as we do.
