Premiere: Rising soul singer Louis Centioni heads to New York for ‘Here I Go Again’

It's inspired by the bleak state of unhappiness a long-term relationship can cause...

South Londoner Louis Centioni has a serious old soul vibe to him, appearing older and wiser on record than his 22 years would suggest.

Drawing on the sounds of his elders like Nina Simone and John Legend as much as newcomers like Billie Eilish and Khalid, Centioni has fashioned his own brand of smooth, vocal-led soul, in part inspired by his Italian grandfather.

‘Here I Go Again’ was produced by O Mer and has a nostalgic, longing quality to it – while the video, which we’re premiering below, sees Louis hop across the pond to NY, catching the subway and revelling in the delights of the city.

He says: “With ‘Here I Go Again’ I wanted to draw on being in a long-term relationship and how two people can drift onto an off-road course and gradually end up in a bleak state of unhappiness, capturing a timeless and aesthetic feel with the lyrics.”

Check it out exclusively now.

Louis plays a headline show at Ronnie Scotts on Tuesday 4th December.
