Premiere: Lady Chann – Hard Drive (R3LL Remix)

31.08.17,

Notting Hill Carnival was last weekend and while an abslute wave, we can't help but want a few more of those vibes in our lives just before the summer disappears. Enter UK dancehall queen Lady Chann, who's new anthem, 'Hard Drive' is a collaboration between her and Swiss producer Rapha. "Back it up, hard drive" is the command from the Lady on the minimal dancehall rhythm, which packs in solid sub-bass, a bark, and some well-placed/spaced-out percussion.

The track will be released as part of a four-track project dropping tomorrow, 1st September, on the Kick N Clap label, founded by Django Django’s Dave Maclean. Amongst the tunes is a remix of 'Hard Drive', provided by Newark-based Jersey Club original R3LL, upping the BPM of the original and making sure to keep forward thinking dance-floors bubbling. Maclean even connected Lady Chann and Rapha for the collaboration in search of some synergistic audio gold, which they certainly delivered.
