Premiere: Joker - Mad Night

Bristol icon and purple sound innovator, Joker, is to release a new three-track EP, ‘Kapsize 021’, on September 8. Written during a lengthy and intense period in the studio, the new project follows a flurry of EPs released on his Kapsize label in 2016, including two of his own, ’The Phoenix’ and ‘XXIV Bit’, but lands as the first of his own, EP-length material to drop this year. The first single to emerge from the EP is 'Mad Night', an appropriate title for the fiery instrumental.

Beginning with a jazzy, soulful interlude, the track soon explodes into life with bruising, crunching, face-melting power, capturing Joker at his meanest and most powerful. An immediate throwback to his earlier, dubstep-influenced material of 2009-2011, Joker goes back to basics in crushing fashion, reminding you why he remains a unique talent in the UK underground.
