Brighton born Iyamah makes music for the soul. A student of legends like Erykah Badu and Lauryn Hill, her journey has taken her from piano and singing lessons in school to dabbling in the heady land of her hometown's drum & bass scene. Moving to London, she found her comfort zone penning abstract love songs, zoning in on her R&B roots, and she can now count Kojey Radical and Poppy Ajudha as fans.
Today, she releases her debut single 'Cryptic Love', premiering below. With it, she paints a thrillingly vivid picture of a young woman in and out of love in her twenties. With such natural and musical prowess, expect to hear Iyamah's name a lot this year.
