Premiere: Ahadadream programs powerful drum patterns on ‘Who’s Ready’

Where the production of UK funky has waxed and waned over the years, London’s Ahadadream is someone who’s continuing to champion the genre in its finest form. Having recently put out a ridiculous edit of Unknown T’s ‘Homerton B’, which has been stuck on repeat in the Dummy office, he’s just about to drop the 15th release since the inception of his More Time Records in 2017.

‘Who’s Ready’ (which recently featured in Lorenzo BITW’s Dummy Mix) is taken from this forthcoming ‘Shade’ EP, and sees him programming drums at a fire-paced rate, throwing them and an old jungle sample over a low, lurching bassline. With early support coming from Scratcha DVA, Teki Latex and Jillionaire, Jubilee also recently spun the tune on her Radio 1 show.
