PJ Harvey performs 'Let England Shake' in full in San Francisco [MP3]

Polly Jean won the Mercury for her album about war and human nature, ‘Let England Shake’ last night, as is proper. In April, she performed to a packed Warfield Theater (pun presumably unintended), singing every song on her wonderful new album, as well as some old favourites. Like the album, it’s a restrained record of an artist at the very height of her power. She’s playing the Royal Albert Hall soon, and we implore you to go.
