Pictureplane, Babe Rainbow and Zombi remixes
If you cut the internet, it would bleed remixes – they’re what oil the digital wheels of the 21st century music industry after all – but this week was particularly blessed with ridiculously good examples of the form. There was Pictureplane’s ‘The Physical’ remixes launched over on Dis Magazine with a splendid, towering, mother of all gifs and featuring reworks by Grimes, Physical Therapy, Becoming Real and more; then there was Babe Rainbow’s ‘Greed’ remix EP, which popped up over on Mishka’s blog and included turns by d’Eon, CFCF and LOL Boys; and last but by no means least, this side of the pond Astronomer turned out a simply wonderful remix of synth rock band Zombi’s Slow Oscillations. All of which can be heard below and then enjoyed on your home computer or personal listening device for nothing more than a little click. Happy January!
