Madlib shares the Four Tet-assisted 'Hopprock'
It was revealed recently that Madlib and Four Tet had been working together on an album, titled ‘Sound Ancestors’.
Two tracks from the forthcoming instrumental LP, which is being released in full this month, have been shared so far.
‘Road of the Lonely Ones’ came out last month, while ‘Hopprock’ has arrived today.
The upcoming effort has been in the works “for the last few years,” according to Four Tet. “[Madlib] is always making loads of music in all sorts of styles and I was listening to some of his new beats and studio sessions when I had the idea that it would be great to hear some of these ideas made into a Madlib solo album,” he said.

There has been an outpouring of grief on social media for Madlib collaborator MF DOOM after he tragically passed back in October.
Hebden previously reworked a load of MF DOOM and Madlib (as Madvillain)’s cuts under the ‘Four Tet Remixes’ release.
