Machinedrum - Aeolia

Bleep's compilation to mark ten years in the game is starting to take shape: we've already heard Fuck Buttons' memorable rework of Brainfreeze, and now here's brand new heat from Machinedrum to mark his contribution to the fourteen-track release. Aeolia fits into the mould peddled around 'Vapor City', but captures the North Carolina-born producer in more a downcast mood than recent DJ Clent-sampling 'Fenris District' EP tune Backseat Ho. A tight, urgent breakbeat sprials around over tender backing: if Machinedrum is back in Vapor City on Aeolia, then this is a 3am taxi ride passing the glaring lights of slumbering late-night streets. While the compilation drops next month, April is all about parties marking Bleep's milestone: Modeselektor play New York on April 24th, Fuck Buttons and Mount Kimbie bring an A/V show to London on April 25th, and Lapalux and The Gaslamp Killer are at LA's Low End Theory on April 30th. 

Bleep will release 'Bleep:10' on May 5th 2014.
