Loyle Carner has shared Florence, the b-side of his latest single release Tierney Terrace.
Featuring fellow Londoner Kwes, Carner raps about an unborn young sister he always wanted; imagining himself as a “freckle-faced figure” for her to look up to, learn special handshakes with, and the benevolent brother who always buys pancakes as promised. Lyrically, it’s a sweet and tender vignette of the reflective rapper’s mind, with Kwes lending soft chords to the soulful and grand tone of Florence’s chorus.
