We've been waiting for the follow-up from jazz and '90s R&B inspired London-via-Beirut vocalist, producer and multi-instrumentalist Tay Salem, and it seems the time has come in the form of his wistful new track Threads.
Taken from his forthcoming 'Night Mill' EP on Alter The Motion, Threads is a skulking pop and R&B crossover cut which sees Tay's flawless vocals float over a melancholy and whirring beat to embody a sense of loneliness and disconnection from our increasingly 'always on' world.
In Tay's own words:
“Jealousy is all the fun you think they had. It’s an epidemic, but you can’t sleep on it. Threads is an open mediation on these emotions.”
Listen to Threads below and join Tay Salem at Bermondsey Social Club on October 5th for the launch of his 'Night Mill' EP.
