Premiere: Landshapes - Insomniacs Club (Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs remix)

In his latest remix, Oxford producer Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs takes on the lo-fi harmonies of folk outfit Landshapes's Insomniacs Club single, turning the quirky tune into an interesting examination of the dialogue between analogue and electronic music. Though the boom-filled bass work-up overstretches itself a little, once the track hits the half-way mark things really start getting good. TEED infuses the honey-sweet vocal samples with an addictive glitch track and just a touch of acid house. And, as a result of stripping away the original's cutesy strings and xylophone part, he also ends up transforming the over-the-top harmonics into something much more intense and unexpected.
