L-Vis 1990 - Edits

After many years on the run from its inescapable grasp, L-Vis 1990 has decided to join Soundcloud and to celebrate, he has given away three recent edits. Anyone that has been keeping up with L-Vis 1990’s work following his hit-and-miss ‘Neon Dreams’ album will know that he has been pursuing an incredibly raw, uptempo direction in a Dance Mania mold as of recent, as evidenced on his ‘Club Constructions’ EP and remixes produced under the Club Constructions banner.

These edits definitely belong to this family – Thomas Bangalter’s classic Spinal Beats gets transformed into a juddering ballroom number on Spinal Ha, Prince’s Batdance, the glorious theme song from Tim Burton’s 1989 take on Batman, gets mangled beyond all recognition, and Linn Horror (Reversed) twists drum machine samples into a horrorcore bed. It’s pretty uncompromising stuff and definitely lacks a “human touch”, and that’s precisely what makes them work.
